Learning how to conduct research in a scientific manner significantly contributed to the development of this research study. If you would like to study at a higher level, your existing qualification may be taken into account. Cardiff Metropolitan University offer the full degree or parts of it may be considered as possible learning pathways.

Federation of Holistic Therapists ~ FHT

The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) is the largest and leading professional association for therapists in the UK and Ireland. With thousands of members offering a broad range of specialisms - from sports and remedial therapies, to complementary healthcare and holistic treatments.  The FHT is the association of choice for professional therapists.

Association of Reflexologists

The Association of Reflexologists is the foremost aspirational and independent Professional Reflexology Association in the UK since 1984, providing benefits, advice and guidance to reflexologists and working with other external bodies and advisory groups to promote the highest standards in the profession. The Association of Reflexologists is not for profit and is the only UK reflexology membership organisation that are members of both RiEN , and the Reflexology Forum and also the CNHC and has representation at the Parliamentary Group for Integrated and Complementary Healthcare (PGICH).

Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council 

By registering with the CNHC, complementary therapists demonstrate to the general public and to other healthcare providers that they meet national standards of practice in their work.

Reflexscience 

Reflex science is a 'shop window' of research and debate for reflexologists and those interested in research in the fields of CAM.  It has the following aims:
To bring reflexology research to a wider audience
To share knowledge and understanding about research into reflexology
To stimulate debate about the best ways to conduct research in this field

Reflexmaster

An evidence-based approach to using reflexology in pain management.
Using reflexology for pain management is an area of research that is in continual development and can be beneficial to those experiencing pain.  Reflexology treatments provide a means of working with clients and healthcare practitioners to help find a way to reduce reliance on pain medication.
